1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of the Bootle website at bootle.io and any purchases of goods made through it. By browsing the website or placing an order, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our website or place any orders.

By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or have the consent of a parent or guardian).

Bootle AB is a company registered in Sweden under organisation number 559333-3379, with its registered address at Nybrogatan 6, 114 34 Stockholm, Sweden. You can contact us at info@bootle.io.

2. Products and Descriptions

We sell physical products only: modular, reusable drinkware including bottles, caps, bases, interchangeable inner modules (Shake, Brew, Infuse), and sets.

We make every effort to describe and display our products as accurately as possible. However:

  • Product images are for illustration purposes. Slight variations in colour may occur, particularly on powder-coated finishes, due to screen settings and manufacturing processes.
  • Prices shown include VAT where applicable and are displayed in the currency of your selected locale.
  • We reserve the right to update product descriptions and prices at any time without prior notice. The price applicable to your order is the price shown at the time your order is confirmed.

3. Ordering and Contract Formation

Adding a product to your cart does not constitute an order or create a binding contract.

When you submit an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the goods in your order. A binding contract between you and Bootle AB is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Insufficient stock or product unavailability
  • Errors in pricing or product descriptions
  • Suspected fraudulent activity

Our website operates on a guest checkout basis. No user account is required to place an order.

4. Pricing and Payment

All prices displayed on our website include applicable VAT. The currency in which prices are displayed is determined by the locale or country you have selected.

Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards as supported by Stripe. We do not accept PayPal.

Full payment is required at the time of placing your order. Your order will not be processed until payment has been successfully received.

5. Delivery

We dispatch orders within 1 business day (excluding weekends and public holidays). Estimated delivery times after dispatch are as follows:

  • United Kingdom: Typically 2 working days
  • Europe: Typically 3 to 5 working days

Shipping options and fees are shown at checkout. Orders delivered outside the UK and EU may be subject to import duties, taxes, and handling fees, which are payable by the customer.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. In any event, we will deliver your order within 30 days of the order confirmation date, unless we have agreed a longer period with you. If we are unable to deliver within this period, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund.

Risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you upon delivery.

We are not liable for delays caused by postal or courier services, customs processing, or events of force majeure (see Section 12).

If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery window, please contact us at support@bootle.io.

6. Right of Withdrawal / Cancellation (EU and UK Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (UK).

The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you (other than the carrier), physically receives the goods.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement. Please email info@bootle.io with your order number and a clear indication that you wish to cancel. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

Returning the goods

  • You must return the goods to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal.
  • You may handle the goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning (as you would in a physical shop). You are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary.
  • You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

Refunds

  • We will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of standard delivery (if applicable), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.
  • We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that have been personalised or made to your specifications. This includes items with custom laser engraving (such as B2B corporate gifting orders).

7. Returns and Refunds

Defective or damaged goods

If you receive goods that are defective or damaged, please contact us at support@bootle.io as soon as possible, providing your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs where possible.

Your statutory rights (UK and EU consumers)

  • Within 30 days of delivery: You have the right to reject defective goods and receive a full refund.
  • After 30 days: We will offer a repair or replacement. If the repair or replacement is not possible or fails, you are entitled to a refund (full or partial, depending on the time elapsed).
  • In the EU, you have a minimum 2-year legal guarantee for goods (3 years in Sweden under Konsumentköplagen). In the UK, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that last up to 6 years.
  • These statutory rights exist independently of the Bootle Promise (see Section 8) and are not limited by these Terms.

Proof of purchase is required for all returns and refund claims.

For warranty claims relating to manufacturing defects beyond the statutory period, please refer to Section 8.

8. Warranty — The Bootle Promise

All Bootle products are covered by a commercial guarantee known as the Bootle Promise, which operates in two tiers:

Standard Coverage (automatic, included with every purchase)

  • Stainless steel components: 10 years — covers corrosion, rust, and structural failure
  • Vacuum insulation: 10 years — covers loss of thermal performance
  • Borosilicate glass (type 3.1): 10 years — covers thermal crack defects only
  • Caps, bases, and mechanical components: 5 years — covers manufacturing defects
  • Removable seals and gaskets: Not covered at Standard level

Registered Coverage (opt-in, extends to 25 years)

By registering your product at bootle.io/warranty within 90 days of purchase and leaving a product review, you can extend your coverage:

  • Steel, glass, and insulation coverage extended to 25 years
  • Mechanical components remain at 5 years
  • 5 seal replacement claims included (removable seals and caps with integrated seals)

What is not covered (both tiers)

  • Accidental damage, including drops, impacts, and glass impact breakage
  • Cosmetic wear (scratches, scuffs, dents, powder coating deterioration from use)
  • Misuse (e.g. freezing sealed bottles, use contrary to product instructions)
  • Modifications or repairs by anyone other than Bootle
  • Products purchased from unauthorised sellers
  • Commercial or industrial use (except B2B corporate gifts, which receive Standard coverage)
  • Leather straps, textile straps, cotton bags, booklets, and packaging

Note on glass: A thermal crack (smooth curved fracture lines originating at the edge, occurring during normal temperature transitions) is covered. Impact breakage (radial star pattern from a point of contact) is not covered.

How to make a warranty claim

Submit a claim at bootle.io/warranty or contact us at support@bootle.io with your order number, photographs of the defect, and a description of the issue.

  • Claims are reviewed within 10 working days of complete submission
  • We may request photographs or ask you to return the product for inspection (return shipping at our expense)
  • If approved, we will provide a free replacement part or product to your delivery address (UK/EEA)
  • Replacement parts carry the remainder of the original warranty period

Warranty transfer

The Bootle Promise is transferable to a subsequent owner. The new owner must complete a transfer request at bootle.io/warranty and provide evidence of original purchase.

Full warranty terms are available at bootle.io/warranty/terms.

This warranty is a commercial guarantee offered by Bootle AB. It is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory consumer rights under applicable law, including the EU legal guarantee of conformity (minimum 2 years; 3 years in Sweden) and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the website if you breach these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Bootle AB shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the website or any purchase made through it.
  • Our total liability to you in respect of any order shall not exceed the total amount you paid for that order.

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, these Terms do not affect your mandatory statutory rights under consumer protection law.

12. Force Majeure

Bootle AB shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics or epidemics, strikes or industrial action, supply chain disruption, government orders or restrictions, war or civil unrest, power failures, and disruptions to postal or courier services.

In such circumstances, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you and to resume performance as soon as practicable.

13. Privacy

Your personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. When you place an order, we process your personal data as necessary for the performance of the contract. For full details of our legal bases for processing, please see our Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the website after any changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable. If modification is not possible, the provision shall be deemed severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform for consumers, available at: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged, and do not currently undertake, to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body, but we will consider doing so on a case-by-case basis.

For non-consumer disputes, the courts of Stockholm, Sweden shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
